Leeseok Kim

I’m a PhD candidate in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of New Mexico, advised by Milad Marvian. Before starting my PhD, I obtained my bachelors degrees in physics and mathematics at Cornell University.
My research focuses on quantum control, quantum simulation, and quantum algorithms. Recently, I’ve been thinking about designing new quantum control protocols that provably outperform existing methods. I’m also broadly interested in open quantum systems and learning theory.
